Harvest Baked Salmon

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients Needed

  • 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method of Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper or lightly coat it with olive oil.

  2. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if the skin is attached.

  3. Make the maple glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Season the salmon: Brush the maple glaze evenly over each fillet. Place a lemon slice on top of each piece.

  5. Bake: Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness. Continue cooking as needed until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.

  6. Garnish and serve: Remove the salmon from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Serving Suggestion

Pair this maple-glazed salmon with roasted sweet potatoes, butternut squash, steamed green beans, or brown rice for a colorful and nourishing autumn meal.
