Honoring Our Founder, Mamie Catlin
In 1985, Mrs. Mamie Catlin founded what would become Camp Street Community Ministries in Providence, Rhode Island. Moved by compassion for families struggling in her neighborhood, she began providing food and practical assistance to those in need.
What started as a humble community food pantry grew into a lasting legacy of service, bringing neighbors, volunteers, and community partners together to help families facing hardship.
More than 40 years later, her vision continues to inspire our mission of serving others with dignity, compassion, and love.
